New D2L Assignment Editor
The new Assignment editor uses interactive boxes on the right instead of tabs at the top. Here are key differences:
There is less information from the Properties tab on the main assignment page - only title, score, gradebook item, due date, and instructions.
The Restrictions tab is now a box on the right. This section allows you to add access dates and special access.
The Submission & Completion section that was in the Properties tab is now a separate box on the right. This section asks how the assignment will be submitted (on paper, online submission) and what happens when a student uploads multiple documents or submissions.
The Turnitin tab is now part of the Evaluation & Feedback box on the right. There is a link for Turnitin that then expands into a pop-up window.
The link to add a grading rubric is also in the new Evaluation & Feedback box on the right.
For more information about creating assignments in the new assignment editor, see the New Assignment Editor tutorial page from Online Learning in the "New Semester Tools."
The Dept. of Online Learning provides support, collaboration, and faculty development in instructional design and online pedagogy.
We also provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty and students.
