Make a Course Active

Instructors need to make the D2L course shell active in order for students to access the course.

Go into the course shell, then:

  1. Click “Instructor Resources.”

  2. Select “Edit Course.”

  3. Click “Course Offering Information.”

In the “Course Offering Information” area, scroll down to the bottom, and add a checkmark to “Course is active.”

The course will become active at the indicated Start Date, and it will remain active until the End Date.

By default, the Start and End dates are the first and last day of the semester. Adjust the Start Date to make the course available before the first day of the semester, or adjust the End Date to give student access to the course after the last day.

When you are finished, click “Save” at the bottom.
