This is my 7th school year at Beaumont working as a Paraeducator. I started in the Intensive Skills Classrooms and have been in the Socio-Emotional Skills Classroom since 2021. I've been an advisor to Beaumont's Queer Straight Alliance (QSA) since 2019 and have been able to witness the growth and change of the culture here at Beaumont on LGBTQ+ issues. Like most things, it's a work in progress.
Before coming to Portland, I worked as a media production instructor and in film/television in San Francisco for several years.
I received a B.A. in Communications from Curry College in Massachusetts and studied film production at City College of San Francisco.
I'm originally from Massachusetts but have lived in several states including New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Mexico, and California, and even lived in Montreal, Canada for several months before settling in Portland.
I'm excited to return to the building with my colleagues and students. We'll take it one moment at a time and continue to build our Beaumont Community where ALL people are accepted for who they are.
Go BOBCATS!
