Portuguese pianist Inês Andrade offered the state of Utah a night of brilliance and cultural resonance in a recital that brought together artistry, heritage, and community. 

On November 20th, Brigham Young University hosts a special cultural event: A piano recital by renowned Portuguese pianist Ines Andrade.  

Cristina Cowley teaches at the Portuguese department at BYU. She is also a successful entrepreneuer.

According to a June 1st, 2024 presidential proclamation, President Joseph declared the month of June as Luso-American Heritage Month. 

Portuguese citizens registered abroad will vote exclusively in person, at the consular post where the census is registered, on June 8 and 9, 2024. 

The Portuguese Ambassador to the United States, Francisco Duarte Lopes, and his wife, Paula Duarte Lopes, hosted an event celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of April 25th 1974.  

A new Citizen card was unveiled today in Lisbon, which will become available to citizens starting June 10th. Also annouced was the introduction of a new "Citizen" brand, and a common app. Learn more about this initiative here.  

In preparation for the upcoming legislative elections of 2024, the National Election Commission (CNE), in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have published various resources to drive awareness among immigrant communities, on how to exercise their right to vote.

Portugal has formally requested the establishment of an Honorary Consulate in the state of Utah. An interview in the program Jornal das Comunidades, on RDP International.  

On September 30, 2023, we hosted dozens of Portuguese citizens residing in the state of Utah, in our first consular visit to the state. 

A July 7, 2023, decree, issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho, has established an honorary consul of Portugal to the state of Utah. 

Our consular services are now closer to you. According to Portugal.gov.pt, the state's online platform, Virtual Consulate services are now available to provide nine essential services to our immigrant community.
