During the month of October we will be working with numbers 1-10. We will practice representing those numbers with our fingers, adding with numbers 1-10, and counting to find and answer the question: How Many? We will learn how to play shake and spill, and work with partners to count collections of objects! We will also introduce the concepts of groups that have more, less, or the same.

Student's are beginning to read familiar leveled books on their own! We have learned many ways we can read, and ways we can be an avid readers. We are working on studying the pictures and finding the words that match the picture along with the pattern from beginning to end.

This month we will continue to write our own true stories We have thought about something we did or somewhere we went, and started drawing pictures and labeling, and creating sentences to match our pictures. Students have been working hard on writing the sounds we hear as we stretch out our words!
