Daily Operations - Facilities

  • In-School Learning Model

    • Students will remain in their homeroom classroom throughout the day.

    • Academic teachers and Specials Teachers will deliver instruction in the homeroom classroom.

    • Students will be have two “outdoor blocks” to break up the day (In-school Learning Model Only)

    • Students from each grade level will enter/exit through a designated door. Students riding the bus will enter/exit through the main entrance

    • Students will hang their coats and backpacks on the back of their chairs

    • To achieve social distancing the classrooms have been reconfigured to allow for 6’ spacing between student desks. Ancillary furniture has been relocated to maximize space in each classroom.

  • Hybrid Model (In addition to items listed above)

    • School will be split into 2 cohorts to reduce the number of students in school by 50%. Original class lists will be maintained to the extent possible.

    • Students with identified learning needs will attend four days per week for additional support but will not be part of the alternating cohort.

  • Bathrooms

    • Students at each grade level will be assigned to specific bathroom facilities.

    • Staff will monitor small groups of students when they leave the classroom to use the bathroom

    • Restrooms will be cleaned more frequently, on a specific schedule

    • Students and staff will be encouraged to utilize the “no-touch” bottle filler as needed. The water spouts will be disabled.
