Knowledge check activities are an integral part of flipped delivery. These activities help academics and students reflect on progress gained in the self-guided study element of a flipped module and help influence recap activities later on.
In this session we offer five ways to conduct knowledge check activities: Google Forms, Moodle Quizzes, Kahoot!, Nearpod and Moodle Forums. We will outline the benefits of each tool and demonstrate how to create each activity. There will be time for delegates to create an activity themselves followed up with help resources after the session.
Aims of the Session
The aims of the session are to:
Understand the value of knowledge check activities within a flipped learning context
Understand which knowledge check activities are self-marking
Explore beginner, intermediate and advanced knowledge checks
Be able to create a simple knowledge check activity
Note to attendees:
This session is a follow-up to the 'Using the Moodle Template' session which colleagues might wish to attend in advance.
