This event will take place over three days.
30/11 - Scientific conference
1/12 - Sandpit event to develop interdisciplinary research proposals
2/12 Public lecture on an exhibition which will be take place throughout the event
We are inviting academics to take part in the above project funded by British Council Vietnam. You will be expected to:
1. present your research work in a scientific conference,
2. take part in a workshop ("sandpit" style) to develop fundable research proposals with other participants, and
3. act as a mentor or mentee in a mentorship scheme for developing research skills.
The scientific conference and workshop will be complemented by a photographic exhibition.
We are keen to promote scientific research as well as research at the interface of art and science.
We shall provide financial support (economy airfare and accommodation) for you to attend the events in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The selection criteria are:
• how your research skills will contribute to the workshop and this field of research
• your ability to communicate and work in a multidisciplinary environment
• your ability to disseminate the outcomes of the conference and the workshop
This is a multi-disciplinary project and we welcome applications from any academic disciplines, including but not limited to medicine, engineering, physical and biological sciences, computer sciences, artificial intelligence, psychology, economics and finance, creative art industry, photography and film.
We welcome applications from established researchers as well as early career researchers (ECRs) (<5 years post PhD) who are willing to take part in the mentorship scheme.
Senior researchers and early career researchers from both the UK and Vietnam will be selected and will have the benefits of working together in an interdisciplinary environment to develop research proposals.
