I have happily been a part of our Pope John Paul II family for more than a decade. Long before I discovered my true calling in the Pre-K classroom, I spent my days as a professional writer and editor and then as a stay-at-home mom. While I still love the written word, I realized my real passion was helping write the very beginning chapters of our littlest learners' journeys!
I am passionate about letting children grow, create, and learn in their own time. In Pre-K 4-1, our days are rooted in hands-on, play-based experiences. I believe that through play and exploration, children develop the strongest foundations for a lifelong love of learning. I consider it a true privilege to partner with your family during this magical milestone year.
PJPII holds an incredibly special place in my heart. Both of my own children are proud graduates! My daughter is currently attending Duquesne University and my son is at Susquehanna University.
I was raised Catholic and still deeply treasure my grandmother’s cross and Miraculous Medal. You could say I have a special, playful connection with the Blessed Mother. As a mom of two college kids and a room full of four-year-olds, Mary and I have a great understanding when it comes to keeping an eye on the joyful chaos!
Calming Spot: Anywhere with a good documentary and a sweet treat.
Pre-K Moment: I truly love it when the children sing. I am definitely not a gifted singer myself, but hearing their sweet little voices moves me to tears every single time!
Classroom Supplies: We always appreciate hand sanitizer, baby wipes, and tissues!
Favorite Seasons: Summer for spending precious time with my family. A very close second is however long football season lasts...Go Birds!
