Known Issues

Students unable to print to CloudPrint

  • If the error is "Hold for Authentication" in their print queue
    • Resolution:
      • 1. User has entered the wrong login info - Delete the printer, re-add, and re-enter the Sundial login when printing.
      • 2. User is experiencing a temporary outage caused by electrical issues encountered the morning of 2/13/2017 (Resolved).
  • If the error is "The printer is not connected." and "Printing - Unable to locate printer" in the print queue
    • Resolution:
      • Delete the printer (System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners -> select the printer and press the square minus button at the bottom of the list) then:
      • Re-add the printer using the instructions from the Printing section above.
  • Please report any other issue to the helpdesk / Technology department


Users unable to print to Xerox Copiers

  • CloudPrint is the only valid/enabled method to print to the Xerox units
    • 1. Please verify you have added CloudPrint-Color and CloudPrint-BW from System Preferences -> Printers and Scanners
    • 2. Delete the printer (System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners -> select the printer and press the square minus button at the bottom of the list) then re-add the printer using the instructions from the Printing section above.


Faculty on Macs experience issues printing to CloudPrint

  • Programs crash when trying to print or nothing prints when you hit the "Print All" button on the Xerox screen
    • Please download and install this updated driver to resolve the printing issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzC-gTRp2jdTc2JWYVhiWEtrTzg
      • To install -> open the download -> double click the installer file -> click Continue x3 -> click Agree -> click Install -> enter your computer password -> wait for the install -> click Continue (at bottom right) -> click Continue (at top center) -> click Close -> click Move to Trash (at top center).
