Instrumentation & Control Engineering
About Department
The Department of Instrumentation & Control Engineering was established in 1991 to run Diploma Level Programme in area of Instrumentation & Control Engineering recognized by AICTE.
Instrumentation and control engineer role is to install, test and maintain instruments, computer control systems that are used in the process industry. With the help of automation techniques and computer-aided processes, they also control these systems. Their prime focus is to ensure that the processes operate efficiently and safely.
The students passing out are having wide scope to get career opportunities in major manufacturing, process, energy, oil and natural gas industries within and outside the country.
The Department has a team of well qualified, experienced and committed staff members with a strong sense of ethical and professional responsibility.
The department has well-equipped laboratories and computing facilities.
Students are also receiving financial support from SSIP (student startup and Innovation policy) of Govt. of Gujarat for the development of PoC( Proof of concept).
Department also has strong linkages with alumni, department alumni hold senior positions in industries as well as in academic institutions, both in India and abroad.
