Instrumentation & Control Engineering

About Department

  • The Department of Instrumentation & Control Engineering was established in 1991 to run Diploma Level Programme in area of Instrumentation & Control Engineering recognized by AICTE.

  • Instrumentation and control engineer role is to install, test and maintain instruments, computer control systems that are used in the process industry. With the help of automation techniques and computer-aided processes, they also control these systems. Their prime focus is to ensure that the processes operate efficiently and safely.

  • The students passing out are having wide scope to get career opportunities in major manufacturing, process, energy, oil and natural gas industries within and outside the country.

  • The Department has a team of well qualified, experienced and committed staff members with a strong sense of ethical and professional responsibility.

  • The department has well-equipped laboratories and computing facilities.

  • Students are also receiving financial support from SSIP (student startup and Innovation policy) of Govt. of Gujarat for the development of PoC( Proof of concept).

  • Department also has strong linkages with alumni, department alumni hold senior positions in industries as well as in academic institutions, both in India and abroad.
