4B Practicing a hand-clapping game and singing along in Spanish.
4A Singing along with Rockalingua "Me gustan las frutas"
In Fourth Grade, students continue developing their conversational skills and understanding of the Spanish language. We start our lessons singing along a song that introduces the vocabulary of the current unit. Before moving on to our main task, we play “preguntas en cadena” where students ask each other “¿Cómo se dice…?” to review the vocabulary of the unit at hand. The units covered this Fall in Fourth Grade are: Me gusta/n - Frutas, Asignaturas y Pasatiempos, Geografía - Países Hispanohablantes en el Mundo y, La ciudad - Direcciones. For our last unit, LA CIUDAD, students designed their own ideal city and labeled the places in Spanish. Then students wrote a brief paragraph describing their city. Finally, students practiced their conversational skills reading aloud their paragraph and posting it on Padlet for their classmates to listen to it. Platforms used in the Spanish class are: Rockalingua, Wordwall, Quizlet, Pixton, and Padlet. Ask your child what’s their favorite activity in the Spanish class!
Fourth Graders did an outstanding work writing a short paragraph sharing their likes in Spanish.
