First grade students jumped right into the Spanish classroom this year. They learned new classroom routines, such as following basic commands in Spanish, and learning to say the day of the week, the weather, and how they are feeling. Our first unit of study was the names of special subject classes in the school such as arte, ciencias and educación física. Students engaged in a class survey asking each other what their favorite class is in Spanish. Ask your child what their favorite subject is in Spanish!
