Kindergarten students have been participating in station play as well as spatial awareness games. This combination has brought smiles out as students have enjoyed the beginning of the school year in the Big Room. Station play included soccer games, balancing an egg on a wooden spoon, scooter rides for core development, animal walks, hopping and jumping challenges, locomotive skills, and bean bag/pin accuracy. Station play emphasized adhering to time and impulse control.  Spatial awareness games included both Blob Tag and Sharks and Minnows with many more on deck as the school year continues. The Peace Path has been introduced to provide students with strategies to work through conflict on their own.
