Second graders started the year with several fun and engaging picture books such as There’s a Snake in my School by David Walliams,  Pretty Ugly by David Sedaris, and Esquivel! Space-Age Sound Artist by Susan Wood. In addition to picture books, each class listened to a chapter book, either Alvin Ho by Leonore Look or Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.
