Second graders started the year with several fun and engaging picture books such as Mr. Shivers by Max Brallier, Pretty Ugly by David Sedaris, and Rabbit’s Snow Dance by Joseph Bruchac. In addition to picture books, each class listened to a chapter book, either Alvin Ho by Leonore Look or Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O’Brien.
