Madam Sherri Castle - July 17. 2017
Madame Sherri, born Antoinette Bramare, married actor and dancer Andre Riela in 1911, and the couple moved to New York and changed their name to Sherri. Mystery surrounds the reason for this name change as well as other aspects of their life together. In New York, Madame Sherri made a name for herself designing elaborate costumes for Broadway productions, most notably the Ziegfeld Follies. After her husband’s death, she decided to build a unique structure in the woods of Chesterfield, New Hampshire, to hold parties for her theater friends.

I was so excited when I saw this decrepit sofa by the side of the road. There is a hint of it's former elegance, and it probably was well loved by its former owners.
Prince Edward Island - Circa 1975
Years ago we traveled to Prince Edward Island. I spotted this abandoned house located in a field. I wish I had taken more photos but I was frugal with film. I also wish I had risked going inside.
Return to Nature - May 5, 2012
I drove past this rusting relic on Purgatory Road in Mount Vernon for several before clicking a few photos. Slowly it is being reclaimed by the forest.

Our photo club was given access to an old barn in Jaffrey, NH. This window had a lot of character (and dead insects).
