Congratulations to 5th grader, Jon Allen on his championship win at the Northwest Missouri Spelling Bee. Jon will get to compete in Washington, DC in May along with spellers from around the country in the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee! Way to represent Polo Jon!!
**Congratulations to Kinsey Heisey for finishing in 2nd place and advancing to the State FFA Convention in the FFA Creed Contest. The Code of Conduct team finished 3rd place and is alternate to state: Team members were; Kinsey Heisey, Emma Cradic, Kerrianne Farmer, Truly Harmon, Avery Qualman, Jasey Peoples, and Baylor Rechtermann. The FFA Knoweledge team tied for 12th place. Team members were: Kinsey Heisey, Avery Qualman, Kerrianne Farmer, and Emma Cradic. Way to represent Panthers!
Congratulations to Kinsey Heisey for being selected to the HYMAX academy this summer which will be held at the State FFA Leadership Camp in June. She is 1 of 100 Greenhand FFA members selected to this event to learn about advocating for agriculture.
Congratulations to Carrie Henderson and Emma Cradic for being selected to the Missouri State FFA Choir. They will perform during the final session on Friday of the State FFA Convention in Columbia, MO.
Congratulations to Jorja Ebert, Carrie Henderson, Owen Horner, Ryan Robison and Benjamin Wolf for being selected to earn their State FFA Degree in April at the Missouri State FFA Convention. These students had to have an Outstanding Supervised Agriculture Education Project as well as been an active member within the FFA organization. Students also were required to have community service and part of other organizations. Congratulations to these Polo FFA members.
HS & JH Cheer Tryouts are as follows: Practices Monday, 3/16 - Thursday, 3/19 from 5-7pm in the HS Gym. Try-outs are Friday starting at 4pm in the Gym. You must be signed up and get a packet from Mrs. Hawkins at the meeting Friday, 3/6 8th hour and have a current sports physical before practices.
**There will be a Bus evacuation drill in the Elementary & High School Circle Drives Friday, 3/20 from 2-3pm. Please do not park there for pick up until the drills are complete.
Prom tickets are now on sale through the end of March for $20 each. A Polo Junior/Senior can sign up one guest (Soph./Freshman or non-Polo Student) in the HS Office on the list and must turn in a form by the end of March to be approved. All Polo students must have class dues paid before purchasing a Prom ticket.
After Prom permission slips and T-shirt forms are also available in the HS Office and due by the end of March for ALL attending, including any Polo Juniors or Seniors. You do not have to attend Prom to attend After Prom. Each Polo Junior or Senior can sign up one guest (Soph./Freshman or non-Polo Student) in the HS Office on the list and must turn in a form by the end of March to be approved.
After Prom is hosting a Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, 3/21 from 4-7pm at the Polo Christian Church, in the basement. Dine in or carry out - free will donation. Pasta, Salad, Bread Sticks, Desserts, and Drinks.
