Miss Patterson ELA

Hello! I am a 7th Grade English Language Arts teacher at Polk County Middle School. I believe that every student has the right to a free and equal education. I strive to provide each student with a challenging learning experience that encourages them to stretch themselves to their greatest capacity. I have taught at Polk County Middle School since 2011. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science. After substituting at Polk County Middle School I went back to school to become a teacher. I have my Master's of Art in Teaching from Converse College.

I love to travel! I have been with World View to Senegal and South Africa to learn and experience their educational systems and cultures. Both of these experiences have greatly impacted me personally and professionaly.
