Welcome to 5th Grade!

Hello! I am Mrs. Hooper and am so excited to teach fifth grade this year! I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and my Master's Degree from Piedmont University. I have just graduated with my Specialist Degree from Augusta University. This is my sixth year teaching at Youngs Grove and I can’t wait for many more years in the future!

I grew up in Rome, Ga. I moved to Cedartown in 2013 when I married my husband, Lee. We have been married for ten years. We have been blessed with two handsome, loving, and wild little boys! Landon is nine, and Knox is four. They keep us on our toes, but we enjoy every moment of it.

At any given time in my room, you may find me dancing, singing, or sitting on the floor surrounded by my kiddos!

My Teaching Philosophy: I believe that a teacher should, most importantly, have a love for each student that walks into her classroom. I strive to maintain a positive learning environment that students look forward to coming to school for. I think a welcoming, fun, and safe classroom draws students that are eager to learn! I believe that every child can learn, and it is my job to figure out how. All of my students may not learn at the same pace, but I enter each day looking for the best ways to help them learn!
