I graduated from the Univesity of West Georgia with my Bachelor's degree in 2009. I have worked for Polk School District since January 2012. I worked at Cherokee Elementary as a SPED Paraprofessional from 2012-2015 then a Pre-K teacher from 2015-2019. I taught kindergarten at Van Wert from 2019-2021. I will be teaching 2nd grade this year. I am so excited about the upcoming school year and looking forward to working with my students.

As an Educator, I strive to provide a positive learning environment for my students so that they may be successful in their learning and become lifelong learners. I believe that all students learn in their own unique way. I believe that all students strive to make a connection with their teacher and once that connection is made, they are ready to learn. I believe that all students can be reached and that its important to learn the student first so that they can be taught the way they learn best.
