My name is Kendra Brumbelow. I have been teaching for nineteen years. I have previously taught pre-k, first grade, and fourth grade. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University and my Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. In 2024, I completed the courses and received my Math Endorsement.
I have a passion for education and enjoy working with children at the elementary level. I hope to make the experience positive for them and instill a curiosity and love of learning that they will carry with them not only throughout their education, but throughout their lives. I believe all students can learn provided the proper educational environment and learning resources. I enjoy getting to know each individual student and discovering their strengths and characteristics as a learner. I use what I know about each student to help guide my instruction to meet all needs. I strive to build a positive learning environment where all students feel confident in their abilities but also know that they are responsible for being contributing members of our learning community.
My husband and I live in Rockmart with our four children. Karson graduated from NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC and works in Rome,GA. Conner is a Junior at Jacksonville State University. Ella and Ethan are twins and attend Unity Christian School in Rome,GA. When I am away from my school children, I love spending time with my family, reading, hiking, and traveling.
I look forward to starting this new school year and working with the wonderful, knowledgeable staff here at Van Wert. Thank you for sharing this important milestone in your child's life with me.
