About me...

My name is Daphne McClendon. It has always been my dream to work with and help children to learn. I believe that all children have the ability to learn and be successful no matter what their backgrounds are. Each child learns at a different rate and through different learning styles. As an educator, it is my job to gain my student's trust and provide a safe learning environment. Also, it is my responsibility to teach and guide all of my students to their fullest potential, so they can become productive citizens in a fast growing technological world.

This is my 31st year as an elementary teacher with the Goodyear/Van Wert family. I enjoy teaching and working with my colleagues. I also enjoy shopping, reading, and spending time with my family. I am married to Wayne McClendon, and we have four children, Kenisha, Katrina, Johnna, and Kobe. I'm looking forward to a great year with your child at Van Wert Elementary!!
