Youth Power Summit

August 10-13, 2018

UC Davis | California State Capitol

#YouthPower2018

Across California, young people are leading campaigns for racial and economic justice. They are fighting for quality schools, an end to youth incarceration, immigrant rights, healthy environments and communities, and more. The Youth Power Summit is an opportunity for these diverse movements to come together and advance a new vision for California.

A multi-faceted youth conference, the Youth Power Summit 2018 will feature dozens of workshops, arts and culture programming, and entertainment options along with the following central elements:

  • Youth Power to the Polls — A forum featuring candidates campaigning to be the next state superintendent of education. The candidates will speak directly to youth and community leaders and answer questions about their plans to ensure equity and justice for California’s students.
  • Youth Power to the Capitol — An advocacy day at the State Capitol, where youth will rally, share their stories with over 100 state legislators, and advocate for community-driven policies.

Join us to ensure that the diverse and powerful voices of youth and community leaders shape, inform, and advance policies and narratives that result in a more just and equitable California for all.

Hosted by PolicyLink, the Youth Power Summit is made possible by the fundraising efforts of the California Funders for Boys and Men of Color and with the generous support from the following institutions:
