INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
As soon as it gets dark outside, the sky starts to reveal what the blinding light of the sun had been covering up all day. There were millions of dazzling stars grouped together in clusters, streaks of light generated by comets and other celestial bodies racing from one end to the other, and a huge number of extra celestial bodies that had not yet been identified. The appeal of the night sky has been present for mankind ever since its initial appearance on the face of the earth, and it has only grown stronger with time.
There are some that are plainly visible to our very own eyes, while others do not. However, there is still the opportunity to witness and revel in the boundless splendor of what lies above us—the sky. Now that we have arrived at this point, we are going to learn about the phenomena that contribute to the wondrous appearance of the sky both during the day and at night.
