About Mark Seeger & Glydways

Grounded in the belief that anything worth doing is worth doing to excess, Mark Seeger has followed a remarkable path, leaving careers at NASA and Apple to pursue impactful ventures. Starting with the founding of GreenIdea, a biodegradable plastics company in Singapore, Mark has consistently focused on merging value creation with solutions for the climate crisis. This journey has led him to establish two electric vehicle companies and GeoCool, a company delivering low-cost, high-efficiency air-conditioning solutions for the developing world.

Born in the Netherlands, Mark has spent his life equally between Holland, Singapore, and America. Trained as a mechanical and electrical engineer, he balances his passions for family, work, sailing, flying airplanes, and training German Shepherds for search and rescue. He currently resides in Brisbane, CA.

Mark discovered what he calls the opportunity of a century: reinventing public transit. Believing that mobility equals opportunity, he sees equitable access to mobility for all 8 billion people on Earth as a pathway to social and economic prosperity. This vision inspired him to found Glydways, Inc., with the mission to bring public transit to everyone, everywhere, and to revolutionize infrastructure development with low costs, profitability, and positive unit economics.

Glydways aims to deliver the highest capacity, best passenger experience, lowest cost, and smallest energy footprint in public transit. The potential consequences of their success are planet-changing. Armed with an incredible team, Glydways is working to make this ambitious vision a reality.
