We are doing something different for the 23-24 trip year.

2 days at Universal Studios & 1 day at Busch Gardens.

We will NOT be marching or performing.  Instead, we will be participating in a workshop where students get to learn about the music-making process in movies.

**Seating is limited in the studio.  Directors will be able to watch the recording and possibly chaperones.  However, due to limited space and needing silence from audience members, parents at the park may not be able to watch.

**Prices for trip are NOT yet final.  Please be patient as we finalize a few more things to make sure we have the best possible price for the trip.

Sunday, March 10: 2pm leave for Florida on charter bus

• 11am Chaperone meeting in BH.

• 11:30am Students arrive through competition gym doors, give luggage and bags to chaperone and head to the BH.

• 12pm Luggage check for students in competition gym. During luggage check students will practice in the band hall.

• Please limit luggage to one suitcase and one carry-on, instruments do not apply.

• 12:45pm Meet in competition gym for final instructions.

• 1:15pm Load buses.

Bus 1 designated for band instruments, buses 2-4 are for luggage.

• 2pm Depart for Orlando!

• Stops every 3-5 hours for drivers, 30-45 minute stop at Buc-ee's in Alabama for driver change and refueling. 

• 8:30pm -ish Buc-ee's Alabama

Monday, March 11: Universal Studios & check-in to hotel 10pm-ish

• 7:30-8am Arrive at Universal!! 

  • Stretch, freshen up, eat, etc.

  • Meet your chaperone and enjoy the day, starting in City Walk.

  • The park opens at 9am.

• Each group will have their own schedule and destination.

  • Face check in every 4-ish hours.

  • Chaperone will be at the check in spot for 1 hour.

  • there will be NO PHONE/TEXT/FACETIME CHECK INS!

• 9pm Park closes.

• 9:15pm Roll check on buses 

• .9:45pm Arrival at hotel to get keys and go to rooms.

Tuesday, March 12: Universal Studios (Music Workshops 90min each)

• Performance day!! 

• 8am Depart hotel for performance location.

  • WEAR YOUR PURPLE PRIDE BAND SHIRT OR 23-24 CHOIR SHIRT FOR THE PERFORMANCE!!

• 8:30am Workshop begins- approx. 2-3 hours.

  • Unfortunately, only students and parent chaperones can attend- no spectators. 

  • Load instruments back on bus after performance.

• After performance, the students will enter the park and enjoy the rest of the day!

  • Make sure to pack everything that you will need(money, tickets, etc,) for the day as we WILL NOT make a trip back to hotel until end of the day. 

• 9pm park closes

• 9:15pm Roll check on buses.

• 9:30pm arrive back at the hotel. Pack your belongings and clean up for early departure Wednesday morning.

Wednesday, March 13: Busch Gardens

• Busch Gardens Day!!

• 7:15am Roll check on buses.

• 7:30am Depart Orlando

• 9:30am Approx. arrival at Busch Gardens

• 10am Park opens

• 6pm Meet back at buses for final roll check.

  • *we think* the buses will be parked in the lot across from McKinley/40th street from the park. We will have your student update you as soon as we know better.

• Sorry! It's our first time doing this!

• Parents: this is where you can sign your student out to ride home with you(bring your ID!)

• If you're riding home with someone OTHER than mom or dad, send a not by March 6th!!! 

• 7pm Depart for PN-G!!!

Thursday, March 14: arrive back at PNGHS around 12 Noon

• On the way back, the bus will again stop every 3-5 hours for drivers.

• We will stop again in Alabama for driver change and refueling. 

• Arrive back at PN-G between 10am and NOON. 

• EVERYONE is EXPECTED to HELP UNLOAD and bring things back into the band hall.

• WE KNOW! everyone is tired, and ready to go home. BUT.......
