The Vocal Music Department at PMEHS offers many experiences for students who are interested in singing. The choirs perform a variety of repertoire in many styles and from many cultures, including classical, pop, spiritual, gospel, 20th-century, folk, and many others. Our primary goal is to spread joy and love through music.

Our choral groups perform at four concerts throughout the school year: the Winter Holiday Concert in December and the Spring Concert in May.
We have two concert choirs that meet during the school day. Concert Choir meets Period 1, and Divisi Choir meets Period 9. The choirs sing music in a variety of styles and levels of difficulty and work hard to incorporate the highest levels of musicianship into their daily practice and performances.
The Banner Singers, an extracurricular activity, is open to all students who are upcoming Juniors or Seniors in choir. This group, consisting of 6-12 auditioned members, performs at various PMEHS sports events throughout the school year. Auditions are held annually in May for the upcoming school year.
Show Choir is an extracurricular activity comprising approximately 18 auditioned members. Show Choir rehearses for 3-4 hours every Monday. This group sings mostly pop and contemporary music and learns challenging song choreography. Auditions are held annually in May for the following season, and students must be in choir to be eligible to audition.
