Element Superhero Project
You're going to design your own superhero or villain based on an element from the periodic table! Here's what you'll do:
Choose an Element: Pick an element to personify as a superhero or supervillain. Your character's traits should reflect the element's physical and chemical properties. No repeats—every student gets a unique element!
Research: Use reliable sources to gather information about your element's properties, like its state, color, hardness, density, and reactivity. Record everything on the provided research sheet.
Design Your Character: Create a colorful illustration of your superhero or villain. Include:
A periodic table square and atomic model for your element.
A creative and noticeable name that features the element (e.g., "Golden Audrey").
A catchy catchphrase!
Write a Backstory: Develop a one-page biography explaining how your character got their powers. Include at least five physical properties and two chemical properties from your research (and underline them in the text).
