To promote Asian Pacific Islander cultures and support within the PLU community and to educate ourselves and our peers so we can obtain unity through diversity and create a warm and welcoming environment for all students of Pacific Lutheran University.
To promote awareness about the organization's activities to the students, faculty, and staff of Pacific Lutheran University.
To provide social activities and educational programs for the organization and the University community.
what we've done
APISA has hosted plenty of educational and social events throughout the past years. We held open discussions about the term "Fresh Off the Boat," analyzed the Youtube series "Yappie" and how it relates to our daily lives, explored the impact of food and family within the API community, and much more. In the past, APISA has worked to showcase our cultural traditions and dances through lion dances and working with other clubs like Nā Hoaloha O Hawai'i to host lūʻau.
