what we've done

APISA has hosted plenty of educational and social events throughout the past years. We held open discussions about the term "Fresh Off the Boat," analyzed the Youtube series "Yappie" and how it relates to our daily lives, explored the impact of food and family within the API community, and much more. In the past, APISA has worked to showcase our cultural traditions and dances through lion dances and working with other clubs like Nā Hoaloha O Hawai'i to host lūʻau.

What is DJS?

DJS stands for Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability. The Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability (DJS) community seeks to create a safe, supportive, and diverse environment that challenges students to explore social justice issues and begin the work towards equity as engaged citizens on both local and global levels. The DJS community promotes opportunities for students to challenge themselves to learn and act in ways that make a difference in the lives of others. The DJS community is an exciting opportunity to meet new people, learn about yourself, explore issues of injustice, and serve as agents for change within your communities.
