Digital Content Awards for Pickerington Schools

ISTE Distinguished District Award (2018) - ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) recognizes a school system larger than one individual school that exhibits effectiveness and innovation in the application of technology. This award has two focuses: Widespread implementation: The winner will ensure equitable and appropriate technology use for all students in the system, aimed at improving learner outcomes and increasing learning opportunities. Innovation: Progress in education, as in all endeavors of our society, depends on new ideas.

WOSU Distinguished District Award (2018): WOSU Public Media wishes to recognize the most outstanding district in our community who demonstrates excellence and innovation in their educational practice. 

Digital Schools District Survey - Top 10 Award Winner  - National School Boards Association & The Center for Digital Education (2018):   This award recognizes exemplary use of technology by school boards and districts. Awarded to districts that most fully implement technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education. 

District of Distinction (2017):  from District Administration Magazine: Districts of Distinction is a national recognition program to honor school districts that are leading the way with new ideas that work. District Administration magazine recognizes established initiatives that are yielding quantifiable benefits and that could be replicated by other districts.

Digital Content and Curriculum Achievement Award (2017): Center for Digital Education: The Center for Digital Education, in collaboration with the International Society for Technology in Education, presents this award to districts that are successfully using digital content and curriculum to improve instruction and  student engagement.

Digital Curriculum Strategy Award (2017): from The Learning Counsel: Recognizing thought leadership that providing transitions school districts into the new age of digital education. 

Schools of TechXcellence Award - HP & District Administrator Magazine (2018):  Recognition program that honors schools that have implemented innovative, effective and replicable programs using technology to contribute meaningfully to student, instructional or operational success.

International Society for Technology in Education Computer Science Personal Learning Network Awards (2017): Recognizes an exceptional leader who is championing the cause of improved computer science and information technology education. This award was  presented to the district for its K-12 Computer Science Pathway.

Future Ready Consortium (2017): Pickerington Schools’ technology plan was grounded in research from Future Ready, ISTE and other EdTech companies. Future Ready named Pickerington’s technology plan as a national example of excellence. Pickerington Schools will continue to advance in technology for its students and the benefit of their future.
