Mavis Ip

Ip holds a Master of Arts degree in Music, a Master of Philosophy degree in Education and a Bachelor of Education degree (First class honor) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During her studies, she learned choral conducting from Vivian Ip and music composition from Professor Victor Chan and Professor Chan Kai Young, and received various scholarships, such as HKSAR Government Scholarship and Au Bak Ling Charity Trust Scholarship.

Ip is interested in singing, playing piano, violin and drumset, and has attained the Associate Diploma of Trinity College London for Piano and Music Theory respectively. She has also been actively participating in different choruses, such as the Learners Chorus, Cantabile and the Hong Kong Bach Choir with works performed like Handel's Messiah, Bach's Mass in B minor, Beethoven's Symphony no.9 and so on.
