Directors Note
“Let’s fill the world with light and love.”
Dear audience, I would like to begin with a wholehearted thank you for being here on this snowy January day. It is a privilege to present live theatre again as we continue to cope with outstanding global circumstances, so sharing this experience with you is very special. Over the past two years, artists across the world have exercised immense resilience, and for high schoolers full of creative potential, it has been tough. But we persevered together.
Theatre is an art form I adore, an amazing expressive outlet, and has led me to the people who make me feel at home. Throughout my four years at PVHS, I have been inspired by student directors who bring their visions to life onstage among their closest friends to tell a truth they’re passionate about. I knew I wanted to do the same my senior year.
Disney storytelling has always had a special place in my heart for its magical realism. We may not see talking snowmen everyday, but this story of impenetrable sisterhood is magic come true. I am the oldest of three sisters who mean the world to me, and it was important to me to share this female-driven story of light and love with our community. It is unbelievable how the arts so easily bring people together, and I thought a Children's Show about unity, hope, and forgiveness for 2022 would do just that. Directing Frozen, Jr. has been my honor.
Thank you to PV Spartan Drama for giving me the platform to share this joyful story with our community. Thank you to my own magical sisters and parents for your endless support. And thank you to this incredible company. Thank you for trusting me, trusting yourselves, having fun, and for making these past few months the best of my high school memories. You are all incandescently marvelous and so worth melting for.
Warm wishes,
Caroline Sierk
