Hello and welcome to Second Grade!
My name is Demi Ludington and I am one of the second grade teachers, here at Ashbury. This will be my 8th year teaching. I spent 6 years in OPS teaching first grade, and taught first grade last year, here in PLCS. I am so excited to make the transition to second grade, and can't wait to learn right alongside all our students.
I received my Bachelor's in Education from the University of Nebraska Omaha, in 2015 with an emphasis in Inclusive Practices. I received my Master's Degree through the CADRE program with UNO and graduated in 2017, with a concentration in Literacy.
My husband Vance and I have a son Hugh, who is 2.5 years old. Our family lives in Papillion, with our two dogs, Tucker and Penny, and cat Darwin. I grew up in the Papillion La Vista School District, attending Trumble Park, Papillion Middle School and Papillion South High School.
I love being part of the Papillion Community and am so happy to be a member of the Ashbury family!
Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy of teaching, is to foster a classroom environment where all kids can learn. I believe it’s essential to focus on creating an equitable and engaging space. Together, we can push our students to meet high expectations while ensuring that learning remains fun and enjoyable. Our classroom is not just a place for academic growth; it’s a family. We strive to maintain a safe environment where every student feels valued and supported. By utilizing data-driven approaches, we can tailor our instruction to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring their success.
