Celebrate Women's History Month with Unladylike2020 (Grades 6-12)
Introduce your students to this rich collection that features the stories of several trailblazing women from the Progressive Era! Created to honor the centennial of women’s suffrage, this timeless collection highlights the unsung heroines who shaped history.
From Jeanette Rankin, the first woman in history to be elected to the U.S. Congress, to Maggie Lena Walker, the first African American woman to found a bank in the United States, these incredible women — diverse in profession, race, geographical, and class backgrounds — broke barriers in previously male-dominated fields such as science, business, exploration, and the arts.
Teach the Women's Suffrage Movement (Grades 3-12)

Introduce your class to the fighters, adventurers, artists, and educators of Rebel Girls this Women's History Month! Celebrate the amazing, mostly forgotten women from the late 19th and early 20th centuries whose lives, actions, and sacrifices helped shape today’s America. You’ll meet activist Charlotte Brown, who fought segregated transit a century before Rosa Parks, Abby Fisher, an enslaved cook who went on to become a celebrity chef, and so many more inspiring women.
Explore Women's Contributions to the American Revolution (Grades 9-12)
Invite your students to explore how women shaped and experienced the American Revolution! Your class will examine primary sources and media clips from The American Revolution to identify the ways women's roles shifted during the war, as well as how figures like Abigail Adams and Esther Reed voiced their own desires for civil rights.
