Parkway Virtual

NEW for 2020-2021! Parkway Virtual Campus provides a full virtual option for families who have health, safety, or other concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic and do not feel comfortable returning for the start of the 2020-21 school year. Parkway Virtual Campus is also for students who prefer a virtual learning experience as an alternative to in-person learning. To access information about the Parkway Virtual Campus, CLICK HERE.

Why Virtual?

Students are digital learners. In order for students to be fully prepared for their next educational endeavors, the ability to learn online will be critical to success.

Virtual courses can meet student needs by providing:

  • An alternative for scheduling conflicts
  • Access to courses that may not be offered in a traditional, seated format
  • Electives and accelerated options
  • Options for students who may want to get ahead in their credits

Because virtual instruction can be an effective education option for some students, the district may offer virtual courses to students through district staff or by contracting for those services as part of the district-sponsored curriculum. In addition, eligible students may enroll in virtual courses offered through the Missouri Course Access Program (MOCAP).

Parkway's preference is as follows:

  • Student selects a Parkway Virtual course which provides Parkway district curriculum taught by a Parkway teacher.
  • If a student needs a course that is not offered through the Parkway Virtual program, students should select a course offered through our preferred virtual provider, Launch.
  • If a course is not provided through Launch, students should select a course from the MOCAP course catalog.
