JJH & PHS BANDS

The Pierce Joint Unified School District Music Program is a student-focused organization dedicated to the performing arts. At both Pierce High School and Loyd G. Johnson Junior High School our doors are open to young students of all different talents and interests throughout Colusa County.  By giving these students the opportunity to express themselves, our Music Director and school staff are committed to making a positive influence in each student’s life.

Under the direction of Mr. Don Joel, our performing ensembles are striving to gain individual and group skill, to perform for entertainment or competition.  Our main program is divided up between three seasons: Pep Band, Winter/Christmas, and Competition Season. As performers we will take PRIDE in our Musical: Ability, Community, and Performance.
