• TODAY:

  • Girls Varsity Soccer beat Chester 2-1 last night with goals from Ana Van Horn and Penny Jones.

  • HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH: Ecuador-Ecuador gets its name from the Spanish word “equator” because it is located on the Equator, or literally, the Middle of the World. Ecuador is home to the world’s highest active volcano, Cotopaxi. The Galapagos Islands, which inspired Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, are part of Ecuador. If you are in search of orchid flowers, this is the country to find them. Ecuador is the largest producer and exporter of bananas in the world.

• HOMECOMING: Saturday 10/1 7-10pm, cost is $5 per person

  • Please congratulate the PJHS Homecoming Court 2022-2023. The names of the Queen & King will be announced during half-time at the PJHS Varsity Football game Friday, Sept. 30

• If you are wishing to sign-up for any of the after-school activities or pep rally games, you MUST do so with your advisors.

• There will be a freshman class meeting every day after school this week in room 207. Window painting begins today and all are encouraged to join! If you have not signed up for any of the spirit week games yet, please sign up outside of room 207.

• Juniors and Seniors:  Voting for Homecoming King and Queen will take place Friday morning from 7:45am-12pm.  Check your email that day!  Results will be announced at halftime of the football game that night.

• Delaina Mom and Mrs. VanHorn will be around taking photos for Spirit Week, but if they missed you and you would like them to take your photo, stop by room 104.

• Underclass Photo Day will be held Thursday, October 6th. Grades 9, 10, & 11 have been scheduled with their English teachers.  No purchase is required. However, all students are to sit for a photo for  their individual student ID cards & the yearbook.  Staff is also invited to sit for a photo for the yearbook.

• There will be a meeting of the EQUALS MOVEMENT immediately after school this Thursday in room 132. If you're interested in celebrating our diversity and promoting awareness, this is the place for you. Come one, come all - and bring your friends!

• Attention Youth in Government members: if you missed the meeting, please check the YIG Classroom. ALL members should see Mrs. Perkowski for a field trip permission form for our October event at Minisink HS.

• There will be a brief informational meeting regarding this year's Spring Musical production on Tuesday, October 11th, at 2:30 in Mrs. Gordon's room, 125.  We will be going over auditions, rehearsal schedules, performances and announcing this year's show! • SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Applications are now open for Sobo & Sobo’s Annual Scholarship Contest (2022-2023)! This year, high school seniors who are attending a two or four-year college immediately after graduating are invited to submit a 30 to 60 second video. Applicants are invited to visit Sobolaw.com/Scholarship for more further instructions and details about the scholarship contest, or email the Sobo Scholarship Committee at scholarship@sobolaw.com with any questions or concerns.

• Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• The Character Trait of the Month for September is Empathy.

• DECA School Store Open!!! Come down and check us out!  Hours;  Right after school Mon - Friday 2:15 to 3:30.  See you there!!!

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
