The Varsity volleyball team continued to improve their record with a league win over Liberty last night. The team served themselves up the victory with a combined 26 aces, 12 kills, and two digs.
JV Volleyball continues their winning ways in last night’s league match with Liberty winning all three sets 25-8, 25-4, 25-8.
HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH: Costa Rica, the Country of Happy People, is part of the Pacific Ring Fire Circle and has over 200 volcanic formations traced back over 65 million years. Costa Rica is the most biodiverse country in the world, with a whopping 500,000 species of wildlife — many of which are classified as rare or endangered. Did you know that the nation wakes up to the national anthem every morning at 7 am? Costa Rica lives up to its motto of Pura Vida, as its inhabitants enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. And, it might be the only country in the world that does not have a standing army!
There will be a Senior Class meeting today, 9/22 to discuss ideas for Spirit Week.
Port Jervis High School will be holding its Open House this evening beginning at 6PM. Open House is a great opportunity to experience your student's schedule, hear about their classes and meet their teachers.
SUNY Brockport will have a virtual college visit today from 10:30am to 11:15am. If you're interested in getting information about SUNY Brockport, please see the HS Guidance Office for more information.
Attention Youth in Government members: if you missed the meeting yesterday, please check the YIG Classroom. ALL members should see Mrs. Perkowski for a field trip permission form for our October event at Minisink HS.
There will be a meeting in the High School Cafeteria today for anyone interested in joining The Farnum House Haunting! If you are unable to attend please see Hov. T-shirt money is due by Friday!!
There are library books that have been taken out of the library collection and are now free to take home. Classic literature and some history books are up for grabs outside the library. If you are interested, stop by and take a look.

Juniors - Your Krispy Kreme orders are due tomorrow. Give forms and money to Hov in 208, Dunleavy in 311, or to the main office.
There will be mandatory Odyssey of the Mind tryouts this Friday, September 23 in room 301 from 2:15 - 3:15. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Hoverstock or Mr. Wilson.
Juniors - we will be making posters and banners for spirit week after school every day this week in room 311. Bring a friend!
The first meeting of the Port Jervis Youth Coalition (PJYC) will be Monday, September 26th at 2:15pm in room 103. Applications are now open for Sobo & Sobo’s Annual Scholarship Contest (2022-2023)! This year, high school seniors who are attending a two or four-year college immediately after graduating are invited to submit a 30 to 60 second video. Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
