• Art club will have its first meeting of the year TODAY from 2 PM until 3:30 PM in room 116. We are looking for a new members. 

• ADAC Journaling will be held after school from 2:15 - 3:30 in the HS Library. All high school students are welcome! 

• There will be a very important meeting for anyone who wants to join The Farnum Haunt.  We will be meeting at 2:30 TODAY in room 114.  Anyone interested should attend!

• Spirit Week Gaming Tournaments Super Smash Bros teams will be joined this year by a Mario Kart Racing Team!  Signup your 4 driver team with your class advisors. Students CANNOT compete in both games. For game questions, email Mr. Felix -  jfelix@pjschools.org

ATTENTION SENIORS: 

• Please sign up for the fall trip in Miss Gibson's room 131 by September 19th. The trip will be Monday October 27, 2025 from 5-9 pm at The Castle in Chester. It will cost approximately $65 depending on how many buses we need. The cost includes transportation to and from the event, a BBQ , mini-golf, go karts, zipline, laser tag, roller skating, rockwall, arcade (no prizes but unlimited play), and bowling. There will be another post with the exact price and times at the end of September. 

ATTENTION SOPHOMORE & JUNIORS:

• The PSAT exam will be offered at Port Jervis High School on Wednesday, October 15th at 8 AM. This test is no cost for sophomores and juniors.  Please complete the following registration form by October 3rd to register for the PSAT. https://forms.gle/pz6LcsxQLAAsUgHa7

ATTENTION FRESHMEN: 

ADDITIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• The HS is once again participating in welcoming back the Hudson Valley Honor Flight on Saturday evening, October 18th, at Stewart Airport in Newburgh. Here is the sign-up form for the Hudson Valley Honor Flight Trip. If you plan to attend, please download and print, or pick up, a permission slip from the HS main office. Have your parent/guardian sign it, and return it to the main office by Tuesday, October 14th. Please report to the HS between 6:30 and 6:40. The bus will leave at 6:45.  The expected time back to the HS is approx 10:00, but it will depend on the flight schedule.

• VEX Robotics will meet Mondays and Tuesdays in room 101 at 2:25 till 3:35. New members are welcome, see Mr. Hyziak with any questions.

• The first GSA (LGBTQIA+)  meeting of the year will be next Wednesday, September 24th at 2:25 in the HS guidance conference room.  All are welcome!

• SADD will have the first meeting of the year on October 2nd after school in Room 112. Some activities for the year will be planned. If you would like to join our busy club, please sign up on the list outside of Room 112 and attend the first meeting.

• Come join the Science Olympiad team!  We meet in room 210 on Wednesdays.   20 events.  Claim your event or events now!  Bring your crew.   See Mr. Koenig for more information

• Emergency Service Club will meet on Wednesdays at 225 - see nurse for location.

• Sign up for CPR /first aid training- See Nurse Weinick for information

• Attention Varsity athletes, there will be a Varsity Club meeting on Tuesday, September 16th in room 201 at 2:00 pm. All current members must attend, and new members are welcome. Please see Mrs. Gunderman with any questions

• The Port Jervis Youth Coalition (PJYC) will have our first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 17th at 2:30pm in room 118.  NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!!!  Our goals involve helping to reduce substance use and to improve student mental health and wellbeing.  Please join us!  Any questions see Mrs. Grismer (guidance) or Ms. Antalek.

• ADAC Journaling will be held on September 18th and October 15th. All high school students are welcome! Journals, pens, journaling supplies, snacks & bottled water will be provided.
