HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH: It was on September 15th that five Hispanic countries declared independence. These countries are Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvator, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. There are many Spanish-speaking countries in the world, as Spanish is the official language of the following 20 countries, as well as Puerto Rico: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Are you interested in technology, arts, design, acting, singing, science, fashion or theatre? If so, you may be the perfect fit for Odyssey of the Mind! Thursday, September 15th from 5-8pm help support the PJHS Senior Class by eating out or ordering take in from Ben’s Fresh. Please see the flier at the bottom of the announcements for more details.

The deadline for signing up for Early Dismissal is Friday, Sept. 16. If you have not done so already please go to the Guidance Senior Google classroom and fill out the survey as soon as possible as to not miss out!
There will be a freshman class meeting after school on Monday, September 19 in room 207. All freshmen are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Any Junior or Senior interested in joining Youth in Government for this year please see or email Mrs. Perkowski or Mrs. Piscitelli. This year's events will be live in person at Minisink and Marlboro. Our first meeting will be a quick overview of the club and its activities on Tuesday, September 20th right afterschool in the library.

Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
