Chess Club is back! Whether an experienced competitor or brand new to the game, all are welcome to join Chess Club. Meetings are after school every Wednesday in room 311
The Varsity Club is looking for members. If you have earned a varsity letter in any sport, are in grades 9 through 12 and would be interested in being a Varsity Club Member, please attend a meeting today at 2:15 p.m. in the All-States Gym. Mr. Holyk will be explaining what our Varsity Club members do and asking for nominations for Varsity Club Officers.
Seniors, do you want to apply to college for FREE? This week is the beginning of FREE SUNY Applications! SUNY is waiving application fees for applications submitted by Sunday November 6th. PJHS Counselors are offering application workshops after school today, 10/26 and tomorrow, 10/27 will start promptly at 2:15 to 3:00pm in the Guidance Office to help you start, complete and/or submit your college applications. Please bring your chromebook and be sure to have previewed the video tutorials on the Senior Guidance Google Classroom.
The Class of 2026 is running a Krispy Kreme sale until Thursday, November 10. Please see a freshman for more information.
Club Expo: Are you interested in joining a club or helping with an activity? Various clubs will be hosting a table outside the auditorium this week. Wednesday 10/26 (B-day): DECA, Drama Club, Equals Movement & World Language. Stop by each table for more information during your lunch period 6, 7, or 8.
Ski & Snowboard club sign-ups are now taking place. See Mr. Kowal. He will be available in room 113 this week today and tomorrow for sign-ups immediately after school.
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: What is the ASVAB? The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. Please complete the form on the guidance Google Classroom if you are interested in taking the ASVAB exam on Saturday, November 5th at 8 AM at Port Jervis High School.
BLOOD DRIVE: The Student Council is hosting the annual blood drive November 3rd from 8-12. You must sign up online for an appointment and have the signed permission forms the day of the drive. If you do not have the permission forms signed, you cannot donate. Students who are 16 year old need both permission forms signed. Students who are 17 &18 need the high school blood drive permission forms. Please bring permission forms to the main office. You will receive two hours of community service for donating.

BOYS BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS: Wednesdays and Thursdays through November, high school boy’s basketball open gyms. Located at the ASK gym. Doors open at 6pm and end at 8pm. Random teams selected, all high school boys invited.
The CHARACTER TRAIT of the Month for October is MINDFULNESS: Please wear PURPLE on Wednesdays to represent MINDFULNESS. Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations. Mindfulness isn’t difficult, we just need to remember to do it. -Sharon Salzberg

Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
