• 7:00 Varsity Football & Cheer vs Minisink @ Glennette Field - SENIOR NIGHT

• Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer team on their last regular season game against Fallsburg, defeating them 4-2. Goals were scored by Ni’ya Drake, Mia Leeper had 2 and Karys Acoveno. Lia Fox and Elia Trujillo Castillo had the assists. Peyton Brown had 7 saves in goal.

• There are no application fees for SUNY schools from Oct 21 - Nov 1.   If you are applying to a SUNY school, please submit your application during this time. 

• There will be an informational meeting for those interested in girls wrestling TODAY right after school in room 117. Please see Mr. Ferguson with any questions

• Auditions for this year's musical, Annie will be on November 1st from 2:15-4:30 in room 125.  Please join the Drama Club Classroom or see Mrs. Gordon for more information.

• The PJYC---Port Jervis Youth Coalition--- is a group of PJHS students with the mission to guide our peers to wellness and encourage respect in order to reduce the use of substances by educating each other to improve the environment of our school community.  Remember, one person can make a difference.  

• The PJYC hopes you’ve really thought about the meaning of this year’s Red Ribbon theme:  Life Is A Movie, Film Drug Free---and how making healthy choices will help you achieve your goals in life---while having fun in the process.  We only want the best for you and our school.

• Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Tennis team.  Message from Coach Papertsian:

I am so proud of our girls varsity tennis team, for their determination and commitment.  These efforts led to the girls to win their division for the third year in a row.  Many of our athletes then qualified and competed in the OCIAA tennis tournament where several of them won to move on to the next round.  On Friday, October 18th, our team fought very hard in defeat in the team tennis tournament held in Monticello.  I wish our six seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors and look forward to coaching the rest of the girls next year!

• Seniors! The Halloween parade is ON! Thursday, October 31st, period 10. Please check your email, the Senior Activity Google Classroom, REMIND, or the Class social media pages for more information. PM CTech Seniors, please get your Z day passes in early if you plan to participate.

• Come join the Science Olympiad team!  We meet in room 210 on Wednesdays.   25 events.  Claim your event or events now!  Bring your crew.   See Mr. Koenig for more information.

• November 6th is Senior Portrait makeup day

• November 8th is underclassmen picture makeup day

• There will be a trip to Broadway to see the musical The Outsiders this spring, all students are invited!

  • Location: Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, 242 W 45th Street, New York, NY 10036

  • Time: We will depart from the HS at 8:00 AM and return at approximately 6:00 PM

  • Cost: $120.00 Cash, Check or Money Order made out to GSA due by December 1st includes ticket and transportation via Leprechaun buses (these buses have AC and usb charging ports).  If it is easier, you can pay for your ticket in two $60 payments or three $40 payments.

  • Permission forms are in the guidance office, any questions ask Ms. Oldham in Guidance!

• Are you interested in joining the Girls Lacrosse team this coming Spring. Please fill out the google form found on the announcements. Girl's Lacrosse

• Ski and Snowboard Club information sheets are now available in the main office. Any questions or if you are a potential new member, please contact Mr. Kowal (pkowal@pjschools.org) at the middle school.  

• ATTENTION SENIORS: Senior packets will be handed out in your English Classes. Please pay attention to the due dates for the parent ads, siblings, friends then & now, and baby pictures. Any question see Mrs. Van Horn in room 104. 

• Port Jervis Mock Trial meets every Monday in room 261 (formerly 311). Mock Trial is a competition in which students argue a legal case against other schools before a New York state judge. It is the perfect activity for anyone interested in the law, debate, or public speaking. New members are always welcome. Please see Mr. Dunleavy or Nurse Weinick for more information.

• The Bon Voyage Club meeting dates and location will be announced through our club's Google Classroom and Remind group.  Interested students should join our Google Classroom with code oriigqo and our Remind group by texting the message "@bvc2425" to the phone number 81010. Please see Mrs. Bransfield if you have any questions.

• Student Drivers:  Please see Mrs. Sauschuck in the AP’s Office to pick up a parking permit application. You do not need to apply for a new one if you have previously received one.

  • Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present~~aware of what we are doing and how our body feels.

• Please wear Purple on Wednesdays to represent Mindfulness!
