  • 🌈 There will be a GSA meeting today at 2:15 PM in the guidance office.  All are welcome!

  • Chess Club is playing today after school in Room 311. All are welcome!

  • Only one week left to order scrumptious Gertrude Hawk chocolates! If you'd like some smidgens for the holidays, the Junior Class has you covered.

  • The library will be closed today during period 9.

  • The Character Trait of the Month for November is Gratitude!  Research shows that making a list of things you are grateful for on a daily basis increases our feelings of positivity and hopefulness.  Give it a try! ~~Wear blue this month every Wednesday for Gratitude!

• TOMORROW:

  • BLOOD DRIVE: The Student Council is hosting the annual blood drive November 3rd from 8-12. You must sign up online for an appointment and have the signed permission forms the day of the drive. If you do not have the permission forms signed, you cannot donate. Students who are 16 year old need both permission forms signed. Students who are 17 &18 need the high school blood drive permission forms. Please bring permission forms to the main office. You will receive two hours of community service for donating. If you make an appointment and donate blood, your name will be entered to win a $30 gift card to Walmart and some candy. Stop by the main office for a permission slip.

  • ART Club will meet this Thursday Nov. 3  in Room 116 from 2:15-3:30.   We will plan a mural for the cafeteria, and do some painting of our own.

• VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:  Little League Clean-up Day at the Little League Field in West End, Saturday, Nov 5th, 10AM, Nov 6 (rain date)

• Seniors, do you want to apply to college for FREE?  SUNY is waiving application fees for applications submitted by Sunday November 6th.

• The PJYC (Port Jervis Youth Coalition) will be meeting Monday, 11/7 at 2:15pm in room 103.  New members are always welcome!

• The Sophomore Class is selling pickles until November 7th. Please see the sophomores for more information.

• Mock Trial's next meeting is Monday November 7th after school in room 311. New members are welcome!

• Seniors are selling Pies just in time for Thanksgiving.  The sale ends November 9 and delivery will be November 22.

• The Class of 2026 is running a Krispy Kreme sale until Thursday, November 10. Please see a freshman for more information.

• The library will be closed 11/10 during periods 3, 4, 5, & 6 for underclassmen photo makeups. 

• Basketball Cheerleading tryouts will be held on Monday Nov. 14th and Tuesday Nov. 15th in the HS Cafeteria from 3pm-5:30pm. Please register on FamilyID.

• ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  Senior Siblings, Friends Then & Now, and Baby Pictures are all DUE 11/18/22. Parent Ads are DUE 12/23/22.  All pictures and Ads can be handed into Mrs. Van Horn in room 104 or the front office.

• Are you an adventurous student? Do you like snow, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring new ecosystems, are you an upper level science student? If so, the Winter Ecology Trip is for you! Dats are: 1/24-1/28 and permission slips and itineraries are posted outside of room 209.   Deposits and permission slips will be accepted until the trip is full. See Mrs. Stankunas if you have any questions.

• Cooking Club: The sign up sheet is outside of room 103. Please sign up during your guided learning or lunch. Have any questions? Contact the club president Mikaela M., vice president Karlee Acevedo or Mrs. Coalla via email. A google classroom will be created. 

• The indoor track sign-up sheet is posted in room 109. Speak to Coach Wright if you have any questions.

• BOYS BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS: Wednesdays and Thursdays through November, high school boy’s basketball open gyms. Located at the ASK gym. Doors open at 6pm and end at 8pm. Random teams selected, all high school boys invited.

• Chess Club is back! Whether an experienced competitor or brand new to the game, all are welcome to join Chess Club. Meetings are after school every Wednesday in room 311

• SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Applications are now open for Sobo & Sobo’s Annual Scholarship Contest (2022-2023)!  Applicants are invited to visit Sobolaw.com/Scholarship for more further instructions and details about the scholarship contest, or email the Sobo Scholarship Committee at scholarship@sobolaw.com with any questions or concerns. 

• Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• DECA School Store Open!!! Come down and check us out!  Hours;  Right after school Mon - Friday 2:15 to 3:30.  See you there!!! Pizza Thursday  $2.50 per slice.

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
