• BIRTHDAYS: Ryan Cassidy, Brodie McDermott, Keegan Mason, Jayden Melott, Amia Summons, Skye-Lynne Clark, Angel Spangenberg, Lukasz Husson & Ricardo Mercado Jr. 

• SPORTS: 

  • Attached is the Link to GOFan. Tickets can be purchased at the site for Friday night’s Section IX Football Game.Tickets for Students and Adults are $8.00, Highland Falls, James I. • Attention: Winter Varsity, JV & Modified Athletes!!!! Our School Doctor will be here on Today, November 10th from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the High/Middle School Nurses' Office to do athletic physicals for any student needing one to participate in winter sports.  Please make arrangements to be at the Nurses' Office at 7:30 a.m. if you need an updated physical.  This will be the last time Dr. Little will be here before the season starts on Monday.

• TODAY: 

  • Katelyn Lindsley was one of the many students signed up for the blood drive. Her name was randomly picked  and the winner of a candy basket with a $30 gift card to Walmart. Congratulations to Katelyn!

• The library will be closed 11/10 during periods 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 for underclassmen photo makeups.

• Attention Juniors: Your Gertrude Hawk orders are due TODAY. Get them in as soon as possible as they need to be sent out TODAY-Thursday, 11/10th.

• Seniors are selling Pies just in time for Thanksgiving.  The sale ends TODAY and delivery will be November 22.

• November 7th-13th is International World Kindness Week!  Keep a look out for members of the PJYC (Port Jervis Youth Coalition) who are celebrating the week with some random acts of kindness!!

• The Class of 2026 is running a Krispy Kreme sale until Thursday, November 10. Please see a freshman for more information.

• TOMORROW:

  • Do you have a birthday?  Do you like celebrating birthdays that aren't just yours?  The Birthday Club will be hosting its first informational meeting during lunch periods on Tuesday, November 15th in the auditorium.  What does the Birthday Club do exactly?  Stop by to learn more!

  • Basketball Cheerleading tryouts will be held on Monday Nov. 14th and Tuesday Nov. 15th in the HS Cafeteria from 3pm-5:30pm. Please register on FamilyID.

  • Boys basketball tryouts are Monday and Tuesday. The gym opens at 4:30pm. Tryouts start at 5pm and end at 7pm. You MUST be cleared on Family ID in order to try out.

• Mock Trial is still looking for a few good attorneys and witnesses. If you are interested, our next meeting is Tuesday November 15  after school in room 311.

• The Character Trait of the Month for November is Gratitude!  Wear blue this month every Wednesday for Gratitude!

• ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  Senior Siblings, Friends Then & Now, and Baby Pictures are all DUE 11/18/22. Parent Ads are DUE 12/23/22.  All pictures and Ads can be handed into Mrs. Van Horn in room 104 or the front office.

• Are you an adventurous student? Do you like snow, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring new ecosystems, are you an upper level science student? If so, the Winter Ecology Trip is for you! Dats are: 1/24-1/28 and permission slips and itineraries are posted outside of room 209.   Deposits and permission slips will be accepted until the trip is full. See Mrs. Stankunas if you have any questions.

• Cooking Club: The sign up sheet is outside of room 103. Please sign up during your guided learning or lunch. Have any questions? Contact the club president Mikaela M., vice president Karlee Acevedo or Mrs. Coalla via email. A google classroom will be created. 

• The indoor track sign-up sheet is posted in room 109. Speak to Coach Wright if you have any questions.

• BOYS BASKETBALL INTRAMURALS: Wednesdays and Thursdays through November, high school boy’s basketball open gyms. Located at the ASK gym. Doors open at 6pm and end at 8pm. Random teams selected, all high school boys invited.

• Chess Club is back! Whether an experienced competitor or brand new to the game, all are welcome to join Chess Club. Meetings are after school every Wednesday in room 311

• SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

  • NYS PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship application for HS Seniors who will pursue a degree in education is now available on the NYS PTA website. https://nyspta.org/home/pta-leaders/awards-and-recognitions/jenkins-scholarship/ All applications must be postmarked or submitted electronically by DEC. 15, 2022.

  • The Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus is now available to Juniors and Seniors. • Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• DECA School Store Open!!! Come down and check us out!  Hours;  Right after school Mon - Friday 2:15 to 3:30.  See you there!!! Pizza Thursday  $2.50 per slice.

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
