MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH:
You may have heard that many athletes and sports teams have been ‘stepping up to the plate’, to end the stigma surrounding mental health. Stigma is the main reason why elite athletes with mental health issues don't seek the help they need. The Indianapolis Colts and the Jim Irsay family have launched Kicking the Stigma, a comprehensive initiative to raise awareness about mental health disorders and to remove the shame and stigma too often associated with these illnesses. There are resources available in the guidance office and here Virtual Calming Room.
