TODAY:
On a cold and wet Saturday the Runnin’ Raiders took part in The Monticello Relays. Our athletes did an outstanding job in poor conditions earning a total of 38 medals. Girls-Varsity Sprint medley (T. Roberts, J. Sewell, A. Russell, S. Maillet) placed 2nd, the Fresh/Soph SMR (Y.Shihada, K. Batzel, D. Allen, E. Trujillo-Castillo) placed 2nd, the Varsity 4x100 relay (Roberts, Sewell, Allen, Russell) placed 2nd, the Fresh/Soph 4x100 (A. Hobbs, K. Batzel, M. Gimena, Shihada) placed 2nd, the 4x400 relay (Roberts, Maillet, Shihada, Russell) placed 2nd. Abigail Russell, Troi Roberts, Jamiah Sewell placed 1st, 3rd, and 4th in the 100. Alexa Bennett placed 3rd in the shot. The girl thrower’s relay (Bennett, B. Rene, J. Sang, Batzel) placed 2nd. The girls team point total earned them a 3rd place finish overall. Boys-The Fresh/Soph 4x100 relay (J. Wilson, L. Seward, S. Bhikarry, A. Allen) placed 2nd, the Fresh/Soph 4x400 relay (Wilson, Seward, Bhikarry, Allen) placed 3rd. Josiah Welch finished 4th in the 100 and 3rd in the long jump. Shane Seger placed 6th in the 1600. Dorien Belice and Ellis Startup placed 1st and 3rd in the shot. Constentino Proscia finished 1st in the long jump, high jump, and 100m and was voted the outstanding field athlete of the meet. The boy throwers relay (Startup, Seward, Xavian Joseph, Belice) finished 1st. The boys team point total earned them 2nd place overall.

Girls' Basketball Intramurals will begin on Monday, May 8th from 3:00-4:30 pm in the High School Gym. Intramurals will take place on the following dates: 5/8, 5/9, 5/11, 5/15, 5/16, 5/18, 5/30, 5/31, 6/1, 6/5, 6/6, and 6/8. Any girl interested in attending, please see Mrs. Gunderman in room 201 for an informational flier.

Chemistry Regents Review: All after school review sessions are scheduled to be in room 311, starting at 2:15 and will end when the last student leaves. Come prepared with your practice test, answer sheet, calculator, reference tables, and questions. It is important that you try your best to answer the questions that we are going over before the review session. Note that your teacher also has free periods during the day and will be able to stay after school most Tuesdays and Thursdays. Regents Exams begin on Wednesday, June 14. There will likely be review sessions on June 14, June 15, and June 16. The time and content of those review sessions will be revealed at a later date.
The Powder Puff Teams have been created. You will be hearing from your coaches about practices.
Reminder to all Character Education award recipients: the school store will be closing on June 2nd this year. Please redeem your certificate for $2 worth of items at the store OR a slice of pizza (Thursdays) before 6/2!

The Character Trait for the month of May is Responsibility. Please join us in wearing GREEN on Wednesdays to represent Responsibility. Responsibility - the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management.
Seniors - The Guy Perkowski Blue Collar Scholarship, The Matthew O'Brien Memorial Scholarship, and The Masonic War Veterans Beth-El Post #29 Scholarship have all been added to Naviance and your Senior Guidance Google Classroom. Scholarships will continue to be posted as they are received. Please apply!
FEARLESS! is taking applications for their 12th annual Summer Youth Leadership Academy (SYLA). The free, in-person week-long program aims to empower students entering grades 9-12 to learn about racism, bullying, gender oppression, the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and building solutions for change.
WHEN: July 24- July 28 | - Port Jervis Recreational Center, 135 Pike Street
Students will receive:
30 Hours of Community Service, $50 Stipend *new this year, A Letter of Recommendation

Yearbooks: Yearbooks can no longer be purchased on-line. Bring a check made out to Yearbook or cash for $80 to Mrs. Van Horn in room 104. They are on sale till the end of the school year.
Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.
Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
