  • The Girls Powder Puff Teams are full! Any boys who would like to be Cheerleaders can sign up now in guidance! Uniforms will be provided so there is no cost.

  • Women's History Month: Sonia Sotomayor-Sonia Maria Sotomayor is an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. She was nominated by President Barack Obama on May 26, 2009 and has served since August 8, 2009. Sotomayor is the first Hispanic and Latina member of the Court.

• The time is ripe, the Pickles are in. Support the Sophomores class of 2025 with the purchase of Corey's Pickles. Support a local business while munching on great taste. Last day to order is April 20, 2023.

• Art Club's meeting today 2:15-3:30 in room 116. We will begin working on our figure projects.  New members are always welcome.

• Seniors - The Guy Perkowski Blue Collar Scholarship, The Matthew O'Brien Memorial Scholarship, and The Masonic War Veterans Beth-El Post #29 Scholarship have all been added to Naviance and your Senior Guidance Google Classroom. Scholarships will continue to be posted as they are received. Please apply!

• Are you ready for the best month of the year? March MAMMAL Madness. Stop by 209 for this year's brackets, choose your champion and sit back and enjoy the carnage. It's the greatest show on Earth.

• FEARLESS! is taking applications for their 12th annual Summer Youth Leadership Academy (SYLA).  The free, in-person week-long program aims to empower students entering grades 9-12 to learn about racism, bullying, gender oppression, the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and building solutions for change.

WHEN:  July 24- July 28 |  - Port Jervis Recreational Center, 135 Pike Street 

Students will receive:

• 30 Hours of Community Service, $50 Stipend *new this year, A Letter of Recommendation

• Port Jervis HS seeks a driver for our Super Stock Car in the Soap Box Derby here in Port Jervis on June 11. Registration ends April 1st. See Mr. Koenig for more info.

• The Character Trait of the month for March is Honesty~~the color is light blue.  Please wear light blue for Honesty on Wednesdays! Honesty -  is not just about telling the truth; it’s about being real with yourself and others about who you are, what you want, and what you need to live your most authentic life.

• Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
