• Library closed period 11.

• The girls relay team of Kaitlyn, Kendra, Marlee, and Makenna did a great job at the indoor state championships. They finished 16th in NYS. I know they were disappointed with their finish, but they should be very proud of themselves. They have accomplished a number of firsts including being the first Port Jervis relay team to make it to the indoor state championships and indoor nationals. What’s impressive is that this meet was only their fourth race together. What’s more impressive is that this team consists of 2 freshmen, 1 junior, and 1 8th grader. They are all coming back next year. We are very excited about the future.

• The Emergency Service Club will be hosting the Port Jervis Fire Department and present a demonstration on victim extrication utilizing a 3 in 1 mechanical advantage lowering system.  They will be in front of the school on Wednesday March 12 from about 2:30 pm until 3:30 

• Any boy interested in playing Varsity Tennis this spring should sign up on Family ID or on the sheet by the AD's office.

• Attention Seniors: Cap & Gown payment of $10 cash is due by April 1st  to Mrs. Schields

• Any senior going on the Orlando Trip must see the nurse to pick up a mandatory medication  form.  This form must be returned at the parent meeting March 13. Contact the Nurse or Senior class advisor for more information.

• Attention Seniors: Senior quotes are in your senior google classroom. They are due by March 21st. They will not be accepted after that date. Any question see Mrs. Van Horn in room 104.

Optimism refers to hopefulness or confidence about the future. It also means a belief in the success of something.

Watch for members of the PJYC who will be spreading some OPTIMISM the week of March 10th!!

• Girls Golf Sign ups are going on now. If any girl is interested in signing up for the girls golf season please see Mr. Foley down in the PE office or sign up on family id. There will be a Girls Golf Meeting on March 14th at 2:30 in the Rubber gym.

• Softball workouts will be in the middle school gym from 6-7:30pm on the following dates:

LATE BUSES: late buses run Monday through Friday. They depart from the middle school at 3:45 pm and again at 4:45. They are for students staying after school for school-related functions, and students must be issued a pass by their teacher or coach to ride the bus home.
