Seniors, check your email for the Senior Cap/Gown & Diploma Order Form 2023 link to order your CAP & GOWN and how you would like your name to appear on your diploma. The deadline is Jan 9th. The $10 payment may be made in cash to Mrs. Schields at any time prior to March 1st.
The Character Trait of the Month for January is Forgiveness. Please wear PINK on Wednesdays to represent Forgiveness! Forgiveness - a conscious and deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person or group who has harmed you.
The first Ski & Snowboard Club trip is scheduled for this Thursday. Any questions see Mr. Kowal.
A small group of Runnin’ Raiders took part in the Armory Holiday Classic in NYC during Winter Break. Our top performers were Troi Roberts, TJ Fergus, and Constentino Proscia. Troi ran a season best time in the 200m and placed 18th out of 80 girls. TJ finished 6th in the triple jump with a season best jump of 38’8” and is the second Port jumper to place at the classic. Constentino placed 2nd in the long jump with a school record of 21’4”. His jump qualified him for the Nike Indoor National Championships which will take place March 10th of 2023. Tino is the ninth Runnin’ Raider to qualify for nationals since 2011.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:
The Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus is now available to Juniors and Seniors. This $250 scholarship is for students who display humanitarian principles by word and deed. Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.
Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit. If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one. Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side. Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
