• SPORTS: Girls JV Basketball HOME vs. Eldred 5pm, Varsity Girls Basketball HOME vs. Eldred 6:30pm, Boys JV Basketball AWAY vs. Valley Central 5pm, Boys Varsity Basketball AWAY vs. Valley Central 6:30pm

• TODAY:

  • The varsity wrestling team competed in their first event this past weekend. Leading the Raiders with first place finishes were Charlie Wylie and Matt Oosterom. Richard O'Lena placed 3rd. The Raiders have their first home match this Wednesday against Burke Catholic at 6pm.

  • Congratulations to three ‘Painting 1’ students selected to be in a group show at Narrowsburg Union Gallery, Narrowsburg, NY.  The show runs from Dec 10- January 3,. 2023. 

  • Gaming Club meeting today after school in Room 104.

  • Living Environment Enrichment will be held after school today from 2:30 - 3:30 for students planning on taking the LE regents in January.  We will meet in room 206.  See Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions.

  • Juniors: Your Gertrude Hawk orders should be coming in this week. Listen to announcements.

  • Mock Trial will be going over this year's case - Stone vs Miser - at our meeting after school today in room 311. There is still room on the team for new members. See Mr. Dunleavy or Mrs. West Barnes for more information.

• TOMORROW:

  • Living Environment Enrichment will be held after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:30 - 3:30 for students planning on taking the LE regents in January.  We will meet in room 206.  See Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions

  • Come out for Chess Club! Stop by room 311 every Wednesday to partake in one of the world's oldest and greatest games.

  • History Event of the Day, December 7, 1941: Japanese attack Pearl Harbor pulling the U.S. into WWII.

  • Wear YELLOW for the character trait of the month: TOLERANCE.

• The Character Trait of the Month for December is TOLERANCE.  Tolerance is the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.  Wear YELLOW on Wednesdays in December to represent Tolerance!

• Attention Seniors: Please bring a copy of your 2 letters of recommendation, your resume, and any college acceptance letters to the guidance office for your scholarship packets.  Scholarship packet lists will go in the mail the week of Christmas break.

• The next meeting of the PJYC (Port Jervis Youth Coalition) is Monday, 12/19 at 2:15pm in room 103

• The Science Olympiad Team meets on Tuesdays in Room 210.     Come claim your event or events!    First come, first serve.    Events cover life science, chemistry, earth science, environmental science, physics and engineering.  See Mr. Koenig or your science teacher for more details.

• ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  Parent Ads are DUE 12/23/22.  All pictures and Ads can be handed into Mrs. Van Horn in room 104 or the front office.

• Are you an adventurous student? Do you like snow, skiing, snowshoeing, and exploring new ecosystems, are you an upper level science student? If so, the Winter Ecology Trip is for you! Dates are: 1/24-1/28 and permission slips and itineraries are posted outside of room 209.   Deposits and permission slips will be accepted until the trip is full. See Mrs. Stankunas if you have any questions.

• SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

  • NYS PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship application for HS Seniors who will pursue a degree in education is now available on the NYS PTA website. https://nyspta.org/home/pta-leaders/awards-and-recognitions/jenkins-scholarship/ All applications must be postmarked or submitted electronically by DEC. 15, 2022.

  • The Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus is now available to Juniors and Seniors. • Do you want a quiet place to eat your lunch? The following rooms are available for students to go to during their lunch period. Period 6-room 131, period 7-A Day-Auditorium, B Day-guidance conference & period 8 room 103.

• DECA School Store Open!!! Come down and check us out!  Hours;  Right after school Mon - Friday 2:15 to 3:30.  See you there!!! Pizza Thursday  $2.50 per slice.

• Any student who will be driving to school needs to come to the AP's office and pick up an application for a parking permit.  If you have previously received one you do not need to apply for a new one.  Please make sure to display your permit in the bottom of your back window on the driver side.  Stop by the Assistant Principal's office and see Mrs. Sauschuck for an application.
